The Van Zyl family has been in the transport business for generations, with stories going around of how Frikkie van Zyl's grandfather transported wood from the Knysna region to Swellendam for the manufacturing of ox wagons.
Frikkie brought the transport business into the modern era by purchasing Mercedes trucks to pull furniture removal trailers custom made to his specifications.
No load was ever too small or too big. Frikkie thrived on solving transport problems and moved any commodity from trees and animals to cars and furniture.
Today the operations are managed together with his son, Chris van Zyl, who has the same knack for taking on transport challenges.
In 1984 Frikkie transported the artwork for TO Honiball and received copies of 2 of his drawings to be used for advertising.
These have been used in various publications.
